Bohemians have been drifting in the betting and it is little wonder.

Bray Wanderers appear to have found their feet with new coach, Harry Kenny, guiding them to three clean sheets in their last three games. As a result they have picked up five points and that has consequently lifted them out of the bottom two.

Last week’s 3-0 victory over Wexford Youths was a big one as it takes them above the Youths on goal difference. Perhaps they are finally making good use of the preseason signings that had many commentators tipping them for a top six finish.

The likes of Conor Kenna, Alan Byrne and Alan McNally bring experience to the defensive unit. Ryan Brennan followed Kenna from Rovers and is another who was expected to add quality to the ranks. It may be that the quality is starting to gel if recent results are anything to go by.

But Bohemians are in a pretty rich vein of form themselves. They are another side who have arrested a slump which saw them go six League Of Ireland Premier Division matches without scoring. The return to form of Ismahil Akinade has helped with him scoring three goals in the last four games.

That has seen Bohs win four and draw one of their last five league games. Keith Long can now set his sights on the top half of the table again. A win on Friday will guarantee they climb to at least sixth place.

They won’t have it all their own way, though, with Bray scrambling to escape the relegation dogfight. A win for Bohs coupled with a Finn Harps win in Ballbofey could see The Seagulls cut adrift. While there is still a long way to go it’s not far off a do or die situation already.

It all makes this an incredibly difficult came to call.

Bohemians v Bray Wanderers Betting Preview Best Betting Odds

Bohemians are credible favourites for this game but I am not convinced by their odds on status. Although the best price of 1.85 (17/20) from Marathon Bet is certainly more reasonable than the 1.65 (13/20) they opened at. Paddy Power offer 4/1 for a Bray Wanderers win while the draw is available at 3.65 (45/17) from Marathon Bet.

Bray’s high price could offer some potential on the handicap markets. Skybet will pay out at 3.5 on a Bray win with Draw No Bet insurance and bet365 will pay 2.05 (21/20) for Bray +1 goal.

This could be a low scoring affair so under 2.5 goals holds appeal at 1.8 (4/5) with Marathon Bet. But Both Teams To Score NO could be a better option at 1.88 (7/8) also with Marathon Bet.
