It’s a new era for Shamrock Rovers after Pat Fenlon’s departure.

Stephen Bradley has taken the reins and he has a tough job on his hands turning things around. A lack of goals is perhaps their biggest failing this season. The Hoops have the lowest goalscoring record of all the clubs in the top half of the table.

Consequently they find themselves way off the pace and a full seventeen points behind Dundalk at the top of the table. There is an even more pressing concern of being dragged into the maelstrom of clubs battling it out from ninth to fifth.

Bradley has to try to get his strikers firing if they are to avoid that. Almost fifty percent of their League Of Ireland Premier Division goals have come from two midfielders. And Brandon Miele, who made such a cracking start, has scored just once in his last thirteen matches.

Meanwhile Bohemians have turned their poor form right around. Bohs remain in ninth place courtesy of a horrendous start but have gone six games without defeat. Their most recent Dublin Derby saw them annihilate Pats 5-1 at Dalymount Park. They will have little to fear against rovers, too, having lost just once in the last five head to heads between the sides.

But Bradley’s beginning at the helm of Shamrock Rovers did get off to a good start. Some pride was restored in the 1-1 Champions League draw in Finland. If they can build on that and carry it forward they could see Bohs off on this occasion.

Shamrock Rovers v Bohemians Betting Preview Best Betting Odds

Shamrock Rovers are uneasy favourites having drifted from odds on to 2.15 (23/20) with Ladbrokes. As a result Bohemians have shortened into a best price of 3.7 (27/10) with Marathon Bet. A draw is not out of the question and can be considered at 3.45 (27/11) with Marathon Bet.

It does look set up to be a game of few goals. All but three of Bohemians eleven away games have seen one goal or less this season. Both teams have scored in two of Shamrock Rovers’ twenty domestic matches.

Both teams to score NO should certainly tempt at 1.8 (4/5) with Paddy Power and Ladbrokes. Under 2.5 goals has less appeal at 1.6 (3/5) with bet365.
